All of these are within a few blocks of our recommended hotels.
- Saint Dinette - a great place for brunch or dinner. Try Pete's favorite, their cheeseburger...the first time he ordered it he nearly cried because he "didn't want it to end."
- Dark Horse Bar & Eatery - a beautiful space for brunch, dinner, or drinks. Kirsten loves their Coconut Lime Rice bowl with braised pork. If you're in the mood for cocktails, they do a mean Old Fashioned.
- Handsome Hog - contemporary Southern food that is very pig-centric.
- Mickey's Diner - a great kid-friendly option, this casual dining car has been operating 24/7/365 for over 70 years. It was featured in The Mighty Ducks movies, among others.
Activities
- Mears Park - this beautiful urban park is a nice place for a stroll or to let kids blow off steam, and is just two blocks from the Hyatt.
- James J. Hill House - Hill built the Great Northern Railway. His incredible house is a National Historic Landmark and is just a few doors down from the Germanic-American Institute, our venue!
- Science Museum of Minnesota - the exhibits here are a hit with adults and kids alike.
